Greetings, I am Lieutenant Frye Valysse, and I bid you welcome to our village of Helmgardt.
Should you be in need of rest, study, or socializing you should visit the "Firebrand Tavern." Jhelom the barkeep runs the delightful establishment and enjoys all the company of strangers. The rooms are fit for a noble, and the mead is the best in the region!
If you find yourself in need of supplies or a stout blade, you should make your way over to the Asgus Forge. The sign says "The Hammer of Moradin", but we always liked calling it the Asgus Forge. Dont let Asgus get you addled, he has a heart of gold and a head of stone. Hes the high priest of Moradin in Helmgardt, and hes also a member of the High Council.
If your wounds need tending, or you have any wounded, take them to the "Temple of Gathered Divinity" to be healed. You'll have your pick of some of the most accomplished priests of every good natured human, elven and dwarven deity there is to do the healing for you. Dont talk too much about your traveling affairs, or you'll find yourself in the middle of a moral or philosophical debate between all of the priests. Its happened too many times to count.
If you're an acolyte who wishes to learn under one of our many priests, speak to Moravain Moorsleeve of the "Seldarine Collective" to be interred as a pupil. He's THE high priest of Helmgardt, and you wont miss him because of his long, ivory-white beard.
If you have a crime to report or have buisness within the keep, come speak to me about it at the barracks. I'll report to my general at the end of each day and tell her of your reasons for being admitted into the keep.
Be warned newcomers, the keep is off limits to the general public, and anyone caught snooping around it will answer to Lord d'Averam or Archmage Larrel of the Severed Hand.
With that said, I'll let you go off to explore our fair village of Helmgardt for yourselves.
Farewell and good fortune,
-Lieutenant Frye Valysse
